The First Snow!

The first snow! Bon Iver! Friday's snow was awesome! I love that it's suddenly turned into winter. I left the office early to head up to Ames to meet Zach for his company Christmas party. His boss is beyond generous and blocked us a hotel room so we wouldn't have to worry about driving home afterward. I packed a quick bag (hot tub swimsuit and shorts) and headed up! 

The party was awesome! Snow background, golf course club house with a fireplace and wine and scotch. We played trivia, caught up, and ate great food.  

Zach and I grabbed drinks with friends at Cafe Baudelaire in Campustown and then took the snowy roads back to the hotel.  

We slept wayyyyy in (thank you Saturday). And grabbed omlets and coffee at this old amazing diner in Ames that we tried to eat at many times when I was in college.  

The day was spent in our apartment. Reading and cleaning (me) and playing video games (him). We tried a new Asian place near our apartment, and it was awesome! Pho and sweats= true love. 

The (new and improved) Spaids had us over for cheese and drinks! We hot toddy'd and talked and made our way home! 

The first snow, you are good and cheerful and refreshing.  

More days in a warm apartment ahead :)
