Mitscoots
Zach and I have had the great great pleasure of working with a company out of ATX called Mitscoots. My good friend Delaney got to live there and intern with the company last summer and referenced Zach when they needed some lifestyle photos.
A year later, it has turned into a consistent little job on the side of our full time jobs-coming up with ideas for shoots, roping in friends to model, and watching Zach edit them and send them off. Tim Scott, owner and founder, has showed us his passion and kind heart in the last year. He has a cool vision, smart business ideas, and a ton of love for the homeless community.
Mitscoots has recently launched a kick starter to back their next super sweet venture: winter wear. They are working hard for the next 30 days to gain enough support to not only layer people in beautiful winter wear, but to also help bundle up the homeless with the essentials. I got to wear these things, and they are really really wonderful. Like I-kept wearing-them-around-the-apartment-the-rest-of-the-night wonderful.
Every pair/item purchased sends a pair/item to a homeless person to keep warm.
One of the highlights of their success this past year, is that they have successfully hired 4 full time workers that were previously homeless, and now have an income and an apartment and a livelihood. How amazing is that!?!
