New Bedroom Set Up
We have spent the spring here and there making purchasing decisions regarding our bedroom! Zach's parents were gracious and bought him a queen mattress way back when. We slept on that and the frame for the better part of our first year. We settled the other 3/4 of our apartment last year, and to top it off, now we have the coziest freshest bedroom of alllllll time!
From the ground up.
1. Floyd Bed
We were SO EXCITED to get our platform bed frame kit in the mail last week! We purchased the Floyd Leg set to DIY our coffee table last year. The company is perfect for apartment dwellers. Even though we are most likely staying put for a few years, we like the idea of not hauling a huge bed frame/table up and down the century old staircase in our building when it comes time to move out.
Made from foam and fabric, no springs. This company sets out to be transparent in pricing and the sourcing of materials/manufacturing. Available online only, they cut out the marked up retail costs that mattresses have acquired over the years.
It showed up to our apartment in this box. YEAH A QUEEN MATTRESS.
It slowly unraveled and out came a full sized queen mattress, ready for sleeps and snoozes.
We have loved it! No squeaking, only soft, soft sinking into the fabric each night.
These pillows are made from bamboo charcoal (way to hip for my brain). They are made to regulate humidity and odors. The words antimicrobial and hypoallergenic are stamped all over the website. Aside from all the fancy words, I can say that the memory form of the pillow is incredibly soft and I sink right into it.
I come from a long line of cotton pillows stacked atop one another. I have loved using just one, well-designed, soft pillow that cradles my neck each night.
We were gifted these sheets and I love them! They are microfiber sheets, supposed to be hypoallergenic and good for sensitive skin and heat control. They are very cool on the skin and soft to the touch! They have coated our sleeping utensils in luxury. (haha)
I still don't know about the top sheet business though...
Our bed room has gotten way cozy! These last few months, it has been light for so long. I love walking into our room after work and errands in the evenings and seeing the white pool that I know I get to dive into (but actually, I really do dive into it pretty often).
But really! Sleeping has been on the up and up for us. These purchases were some of the last adult apartment purchases we made this year!
ZZZZZZZ.
