March Wrapup
March was good! I stayed in Des Moines the whole month. I have whiplash from the weather, but am on to other climates and zones currently.
The month started with a visit from my high school best friend :) we had sushi and sake and laughed for serious hours at the restaurant and back at home.
I got to go to Courtney's dress fitting. 1.5 little months!!
We stopped at Gong Fu on one of the chilly days of the month.
I got to go to Liz's dress fitting as well! Only 2 little months!
The morning that Zach left for Vegas, I tagged along to the dudes barber shop. We should have let him go like this.
I ate at the Waveland Cafe for the first time! We got take out. It is truly a hole in the wall, and SO YUM.
I got a new bottle of sake to try :) I'm kind of way into it.
We are still plucking away at these :) but they are pretty! (Via Zach)
As you knowwwwwwww, I painted the bathroom while Zach was away. Yep, still loving the decision.
Zach got home and we took a morning drive on a Saturday morning over Sailorville Lake, on down through Des Moines. Always always house/empty lot hunting for future ideas!
That same sad cozy day, we spruced up the greens in our apartment!
Our neighbor chickens are back in action!! I think they know my footsteps at this point. I go like twice a week for more eggs.
The wedding invites and shower invites are ROLLING IN. I love weddings and I love a good event, so I am pumped. Look how pretty all of these are!? Pretty much all designed by friends (and husband) (and Moglea).
Our good friend that grew up in Etheopia brought us our table runner and some coffee a month or so ago. He moved into our hood and had us over for Etheopian lunch!! This bread is called injera. It's like a pancake, airy soft bread. And then there is chicken and a hard boiled egg with a savory red sauce.
And it was so good and savory. I was full after maybe 1/4 of this.
But then he brought out the candied dates and te fruit and I was like wayyyyyy gooooood.
Oh AND agave juice.
Our connection group went to the Iowa Energy vs the Mad Ants game that made the ESPN best moments roll! Oh also we sat courtside! And that is the best way to watch the Iowa Energy. I get why the celebs are all like "only front row please and thank you". Our tickets didn't cost quite as much as Kanye's. Who are we kidding, he gets those for free.
Ahem, Zach made a sign. Both home team and opponents gave him the eyeball, the nod, and a verbal compliments.
Along with our friend moving in, comes his roommates dog! Named Ghost. But, I call her Toast. I got to take her on a Sunday walk last week. And it confirms everyone's suspicions that dog life is for me!
Okay bye March! Yay April! I am in Philadelphia this week!
