Bare Naked Summer Apartment
Last weekend we had a photo shoot in our apartment. We cleaned and tidied and also sat on the tail end of a summer clean out of closets and storage.
Zach left for the afternoon and I had a few hours of basking in the warm sun in our cleaned up bare summer apartment.
You know the short window of actually feeling light and airy after you clean up? It felt calm and peaceful and orderly and I wanted to remember it.
I enjoy the pull and push of both living within the bounds of small urban living as well as the luxury of impressive square footage for the two of us. Having extra rooms, a lot of hobbies, and adding entirely inappropriate tools to an urban apartment from the 1920s.
I have no business gardening or longing for a kayak or learning to store and can food like a country homesteader. But! We have made the space as adjustable and livable as we want, and that is a great feeling!
Anyway, happy summer from over here on Pleasant Street!
