Work Out Gear-Winter Edition
The only good thing about being at the gym in the winter (verses getting to be active outside) are the temp controlled rooms and getting to wear shorts and letting those legs and arms breathe!
I go to a gym with a variety of classes, which I take full advantage of. I've found I am a more of group fitness girl vs plan your own workouts.
I took some time to clean out my workout gear the other day! I am constantly throwing things in and out of my gym bag and wanted to make it easier in the morning to make decisions based on what sort of activity I am doing that evening. Here's what the gym bag has going on these days...
Weight Lifting Class:
I love this class because it pushes me to work harder than I have ever before. And I have NEVER lifted a weight in my life. These shorts and tops keep me feeling light. AND those socks are my absolute favorite.
Agility Training Class:
This class will maybe kill you. It's one hour of jumping, moving, running. It's like football practice for all of us weenies who didn't do football. This pants are wild and awesome and the bro cut off...makes me feel like a bro. Which is a good mindset in the gym, ya?
Cycling Class:
This makes me feel like I'm rolling through a summer day on the trail! But actually no it's not entirely like that, it's hard work and they make youconstantly turn up the resistance and it's like a small Everest. But the instructor always promises imagniary beers at the top. AND if you have ever tried to do a cycling class with shorts any shorter than these, you know how awful that is. These are a must. The hat does an awesome job of keeping the sweat out of my eyes. Because it. comes. down.
Core Class:
This little 30 minute class is awesome for strengthening my legs, gluts, shoulders and core. It's a good platform for the rest of my work outs to be successful. I don't sweat too much (yay!) so I can wear these pants in and out of the gym.
Running on the Tredmill:
I don't LOVE running. And I certainty don't love the Tredmill. But ya know, it's below 20 most days, and I haven't gotten to the point of all abandon with winter runs. As dreamy as they look when I drive past the lake...
And now the work out week is over! I will be lounging and eating chili and watching the Super Bowl (maybe/probably in some of these workout leggings).
Hope you have the best weekend planned!
