My Summer Everyday Carry

My Summer Everyday Carry

I used to change purses....quite often.

Zach has tried to talk me into a "wallet phone case" for about a year.

I remember it was a year ago because his example of a practical use would be walking to the farmers market on Saturdays and not having to take a purse or shove cash in my pockets.

At the time, not taking a purse sounded boyish and also messy. I took a purse that organized chapstick, lipstick, a pocket knife, cash, credit cards, my license, multiple gift cards/rewards cards, cosmetics, tissues, and who even knows what else.

Everything was neatly organized though! That. I am proud of.

But, in the last few months, call it spring cleaning or just better vision for my budget, I have been hauling away a lot of accessories and clothes and house random things.

If it doesn't fit just right, I don't want to buy it. If I never use it, I don't want to keep it. If it's not going to be a functional item in my closet or in our apartment, I will save up for something better.

So, with it, I tossed extra bags and purses and slimmed down to one small leather bag and the hopes of a big waxed canvas or worn leather tote in the future.

The midst of changing purses and the fear I had one morning as I thought I for sure left my license in one of my purses elsewhere, brought me to Zach and asked if the offer still stood on the wallet case.

And it's SO GREAT. It has actually changed my day to day flow quite a bit! Most days, because it's dawning on summer and I don't need the pocket kleenex, the gloves and the extras, this is all I bring with me!

I don't need my wallet anymore, therefore, if I stow chapstick in the car and my desk at work, all is well!

I can carry 3 cards and some cash OR 4 cards if I need to take one of those previously mentioned gift cards somewhere.
