Iowa State: Take 1, Take 2
Lately I have had a day dreamy look in my eyes. I have been reliving the weeks leading up to moving into the dorms my freshman year at Iowa State.
My little sister moved in last week, and I have been annoyingly excited for her.
I will never get to be in college again. I equally wished my senior year of high school away in anticipation as I hurried my last semester of college away waiting to get to the next thing.
As I am forever learning to be content and really happy at exactly the place I am, I got to visit Ames and the campus TWICE in the last two weeks!
Sarah, my long time friend and college roommate met me at Stomping Grounds for smoothies and real life talks. She lives in Dallas (not forever, I hope), so getting to walk campus with her was a treat.
I think that's a really wonderful thing about the here and now. I got to think back on really amazing moments and thoughts and experiences WITH my best friend that it all happened with and next to. THAT is something wishing for the future can't give you.

Okay. Stop here. Crystal Pepsi. Sarah has this old crewneck comfy sweatshirt that I saw maybe every night of our junior year. It is THIS LOGO. As we ran errands at the supermarket next to our apartment, we FOUND THIS STAND OF CRYSTAL PEPSI.

Annie moved in (three rooms down from where Sarah lived in, no big deal). I came to check out her digs and whisk her off campus for lunch and coffee.
Oh, the tiny dorms, the compact living, and the backpacks everywhere you go.

We walked that campus town and bought ISU tanks and were seesters the whole time.
This blog is paying homage to my first year at Iowa State! What a wild new and growing experience in so many ways. Hellooooo freshman Emily :)
OOOKAAAAY. I am off to Las Vegas tomorrow. I will surely be missing Pleasant Street.
